Farm
If we take care of the land, it will take care of us.Not only did the Celts develop a field system that made it possible to clearly define the boundaries between farms, they also made machines that were far more advanced than those used by the Romans or the Greeks. The Celtic plough had a coulter, a sharp blade that turned the soil over on itself. This allowed farmers to work land that had previously been inaccessible to arable farming. A wide variety of crops were grown by the Celtic people, depending on the local climate and soil. For example, the Picts of Scotland were unable to grow olives and grape vines like the Gaulish tribes of the Po Valley; they relied instead on the raising of sheep for food and wool.
