Qiang Archers
When you hunt to live, silence becomes your ally, and your bow skills become… considerable.The bow is a most elegant and versatile weapon, used for centuries beyond counting for survival; first, hunting and then, later, when man fought man, warfare. Those who continue to practice these old ways - such as the tribes of the Qiang - continue their daily practice and as such are now unparalleled archers.
This proficiency with the bow is what makes them desirable as irregular warriors in any army, as they can bring an asymmetrical element to forces otherwise mired by predictable formations and military styles.
