Archer Defectors

It is an irony above all that arrows fletched by the dynasty to destroy rebels should now be turned back on them.

Orders are delivered, blunt and direct, from a commander, yet promises from others carry more weight in troubled times. The bulk of any Han army is composed of conscripts, drafted to fight for their lord.

Yet when the message of the Yellow Turbans is aimed directly at the struggling populace, their loyalties may understandably waver. Though inexperienced, their defection robs the Han of soldiers and provides another string to the rebellion's increasingly-mighty bow.

Unit Abilities

    Thick plumes of smoke obscure line of sight, making units seem temporarily invisible.
  • Miasma
    The dense and tough undergrowth that plagues the jungles of the South is a hindrance to all those who try to penetrate into the heartlands of the Nanman.
  • Loose
    The unit spreads apart, making it more difficult for arrows to hit them.

    These troops are best placed at the rear of an army, where they can cause damage from a position of relative safety.
  • Paltry armour
    This unit is only armoured with light cloth, making it vulnerable when engaged.
  • Weak against cavalry
    This unit is very vulnerable to cavalry charges, especially to the flanks.
