Bandit Warriors

Banditry is a simple profession – wade into battle with whichever weapon you find, and take everything you can.

Banditry is not known for its elegance or even its order; it is a patchwork affair that makes use of whatever is at hand. So, too, are bandit warriors a pragmatic sort, fighting with whatever comes to hand.

These fighters, sometimes little more than a rabble, have been known to charge into battles with two axes in hand, or two maces, or a mace and an axe, or even a ji! When it comes to weapons, they do not discriminate.

Unit Abilities

  • Caltrops
    Simple nut husks, once trodden upon, cause extreme pain and slow movement.
  • Smoke Screen
    Thick plumes of smoke obscure line of sight, making units seem temporarily invisible.
  • Miasma
    The dense and tough undergrowth that plagues the jungles of the South is a hindrance to all those who try to penetrate into the heartlands of the Nanman.

    Can hide in forests.
  • RAIDER
    Idle soldiers will burn down nearby buildings.

Strengths & Weaknesses

  • Role: assault
    This unit excels at charging enemy frontlines, slaying all in their path.
  • Good against armour
    This unit's weapons allow it to pierce even the strongest enemy armour.
  • Weak against cavalry
    This unit is very vulnerable to cavalry charges, especially to the flanks.
