White Tiger Raiders

The south, they say, is full of tigers, so one should take care where they wander.

To the nobility, raiding is a nuisance, a thorn in their side. But to the raider, it is a source – perhaps the only source – of sustenance in a world that has forgotten them. To be a raider is to eschew tradition rules of engagement and fight by whatever means necessary to see victory.

The raiders of the White Tiger move swiftly, with swiftness of the gale, striking hard in key locations before vanishing back to a safe distance.

Unit Abilities

  • Smoke Screen
    Thick plumes of smoke obscure line of sight, making units seem temporarily invisible.
  • Shield Wall (Spear)
    The unit presents a wall of shields to the enemy – an offensive formation best used to push forward under arrow fire.
  • Miasma
    The dense and tough undergrowth that plagues the jungles of the South is a hindrance to all those who try to penetrate into the heartlands of the Nanman.
  • Loose
    The unit spreads apart, making it more difficult for arrows to hit them.

    Can hide in forests.
  • IGNORE GROUND TYPE
    Speed penalties caused by the terrain are ignored by this unit.
  • RAIDER
    Idle soldiers will burn down nearby buildings.
  • SNIPE
    Remains hidden while firing.
  • STALK
    Can move whilst hidden in any terrain.

Strengths & Weaknesses

  • Role: skirmishers
    Skirmishers serve to distract and soften up enemy troops, and are almost impossible to run down as they harass their targets.
  • Guerrilla deployment
    These units have the advantage of being able to deploy behind enemy lines to strike at unexpecting targets.
  • Paltry armour
    This unit is only armoured with light cloth, making it vulnerable when engaged.
