Tiger Cubs

Though not yet as potent as their elite cousins, the cubs are no less powerful in themselves.

For every soldier who is selected to ride in the elite Tiger & Leopard cavalry, there are those who are not quite ready for such a responsibility. Fine warriors in their own right, these riders form the bulk of the Tiger Cubs.

Their name is perhaps overly mollifying, as they fight with a ferocity and a power greater than most other cavalries in the land. For when the Tiger Cubs roar, it is only the enemy who mewls in fear.

Unit Abilities

  • Miasma
    The dense and tough undergrowth that plagues the jungles of the South is a hindrance to all those who try to penetrate into the heartlands of the Nanman.
  • Diamond
    The unit forms into a hard-edged diamond, good for both offence and defence but limiting manoeuvrability.
  • Loose
    The unit spreads apart, making it more difficult for arrows to hit them.
  • Wedge
    The unit forms into a spear-tip, best for driving directly through enemy lines.

Attributes

  • DISCIPLINED
    Does not suffer a morale penalty when the general dies. It can also rally after routing more often.


  • This unit can deploy outside the deployment zone.

  • HIDE IN FOREST
    Can hide in forests.

Strengths & Weaknesses

  • Role: anti-missile
    A shielded and fast-moving unit that absorbs missile fire to charge into vulnerable missile units.
  • Mobility
    Melee cavalry use their speed to outmanoeuvre their enemies, striking at exposed flanks and vulnerable units.
  • Good morale
    This unit will keep fighting even when others have already routed.
