Bandit Hunters

As war becomes more advanced, weaponry becomes more easy to use for the common, untrained peasant. Yet some would say the old ways are still the best. The bow, although easy to pick up, is notoriously difficult to master, and only the finest become sharpshooters of legend.

Many bandit hunters are those who abandoned their life in the Han, yet others know nothing of military training. These warriors honed their skill hunting animals, and now turn their trade to the business of war.

Unit Abilities

  • Smoke Screen
    Thick plumes of smoke obscure line of sight, making units seem temporarily invisible.
  • Miasma
    The dense and tough undergrowth that plagues the jungles of the South is a hindrance to all those who try to penetrate into the heartlands of the Nanman.

    Idle soldiers will burn down nearby buildings.

Strengths & Weaknesses

  • Role: rear line
    These troops are best placed at the rear of an army, where they can cause damage from a position of relative safety.
  • Poor in melee
    This unit is poor when fighting hand-to-hand. Try to keep it away from enemy formations.
  • Weak against cavalry
    This unit is very vulnerable to cavalry charges, especially to the flanks.
